Comedian and Impressionist Melissa Villasenor to Perform

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— Comedian and voice impressionist Melissa Villasenor is scheduled
to perform at the Hansen Student Center (300 Beecher St., Bloomington) on Friday,
September 20 at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Villasenor was named Campus Activities Magazine’s 2013 Best Female Artist for her impressions of celebrities. She began performing
comedic stand-up at the age of 15 when she appeared at the Laugh Factory Comedy Camp.
Her first TV appearance was on TBS’s “Frank TV” where she did impressions of Ellen
DeGeneres and Sarah Silverman. Villasenor was seen on the 2011 season of “America’s
Got Talent” impersonating Barbara Walters, Natalie Portman, Beyonce and Christina
Aguilera. She also does voiceover work for Fox’s “Family Guy” and Cartoon Network’s
“Adventure Time.”
Villasenor frequently performs in the Los Angeles area at the Laugh Factory, The Comedy
Store, the Improv and Comedy & Magic Club.
