The Wind and Jazz Ensemble to Perform

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— Illinois Wesleyan’s Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble will perform on Friday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m. at The Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (600 N. East St., Bloomington).

The event is free and open to the public.

Professor of Music Steven Eggleston will conduct the Wind Ensemble which will perform: “Pineapple Poll” by Arthur Sullivan, “Profanation from Jeremiah, Symphony No. 1” by Leonard Bernstein, “Song” by William Bolcom, “Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Band, 2nd movement” by Paul Creston and “From a Dark Millennium” by Joseph Schwantner.

Visiting Assistant Professor Tim Pitchford will direct the Jazz Ensemble, which will feature senior members Drew Bogen, Stan Dulkoski, Ini-Obong Essien, Jarrod Hill, Christina Hoblin and Gabe Stillman.
