BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will present
a guest recital, featuring Trevor Saint, as part of the IWU New Music Series. Saint
will perform on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. in Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall
(1210 N. Park St., Bloomington). The event is free and open to the public.
The program will include works by Stuart Saunders Smith, Christopher Adler, James
Romig, Christopher Burns and Jeff Herriott. David Vayo, professor of composition
and theory, will accompany Saint during his improvisation piece.
Saint is an advocate of the modern solo glocknspiel. He has had the opportunity
to collaborate with some of today’s most creative composers, including those who’s
pieces he will perform at the recital.
Saint is currently working on a self-titled solo project for glockenspiel and voice,
which will be the first-ever full length record of solo glockenspiel music.
