Jazz Lab Band Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. –  The Illinois Wesleyan University’s School of Music will host the IWU Jazz Lab Band concert on Tuesday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 N. Park St., Bloomington). 
The performance is free and open to the public.
Tim Pitchford, visiting assistant professor of music, will direct the concert.
The performance will include a number of pieces, including: Freckle Face by Sammy Nestico, Death and Taxes by John Dorhauer, and Easy to Love by Cole Porter and arrangement by Billy May.
The IWU Jazz Lab Band features student musicians from a variety of majors.  The band consists of Kyle Lewis, Tracy Lytwyn, Larissa Kowal, and Brian Kim on saxophone; Michael Covington, Nathaniel Murphy, and Justyn Jost on trumpet; Calob Pluhm, Zach Siegel, Luke McLoughlin, Nick Heller, and Stephanie Jones on trombone; Ethan Fischer on piano; Mitchell Killough on bass; Derek McAnally on drums; and vocals by Bethany Salm.
