Senior Art Exhibition

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Joyce Eichhorn Ames School of Art will host the annual B.A./B.F.A.
Senior Art Exhibitions from April 3 to April 19 in the Merwin and Wakeley Galleries
at the Joyce Eichhorn Ames School of Art (6 Ames Plaza, Bloomington).
There will be a reception held on Saturday, April 14 from 1-3 p.m. in the galleries
with an awards ceremony at 1:30 p.m. At 2:30 p.m., students participating in the
John Wesley Powell Research Conference will present their artwork.
Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m., with additional
Tuesday hours from 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. The gallery
will be closed on April 8 for Easter.
The show will exhibit selected pieces from graduating art majors and minors produced
during their senior year. It will include work from all areas of the art program
including: painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, graphic design, ceramics,
sculpture and glass.
The eight seniors featured in the exhibition are Miles Jappa, art major from St.
Louis; Katya Robrina, art and international studies major from Prague, Russia; Michelle
Pappas, business administration and art major from Mount Prospect, Ill.; Renee Schade,
art major from Herscher, Ill.; Amber Sipich, art major from Chicago; Sherri Strandberg,
art major from Bloomington; Anneliese Tillman, interdisciplinary education and art
major from Skokie, Ill.; and Shanshan Zhao, international Studies and art major from
Sichuan, China.
