Student Compositions Featured in Recital

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will present a student composition concert on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. in Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 N. Park St., Bloomington). The recital is free and open to the public.

The performance will feature pieces by Derek Johnson, a junior music education major from Marseilles, Ill. and Clarisse Tobia, a sophomore vocal performance major from Sun Prairie, Wis.

Johnson will open the recital with his composition, The Infinite.  He will perform his piece on the electric guitar.

Tobia will close the event with a performance of Arcane Encounters on piano.
