Sonic Exploration Society to Perform at Illinois Wesleyan

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan School of Music will present Sonic Exploration Society on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. in the Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 N. Park St., Bloomington) as part of the IWU New Music Series.

The event is free and open to the public.

The Sonic Exploration Society consists of Illinois Wesleyan Professor of Music David Vayo on piano, Randall Reyman on trumpet, William Koehler on bass, Manpreet Bedi on tabla, and Bob McEntyre on drums.

The group will perform: Kateez by Reyman, Remembering Joe Zawinul by Koehler, Dama Dum (Every Breath) by Koehler, Transmission by Vayo, Another Place, Another Time by Reyman, and Apti by Rudresh Mahanthappa. Sonic Exploration Society will also perform some improvisation at the concert.
