BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will present an Early Music Recital Wesleyan Consort on Sunday, March 27 at 1 p.m. in Evelyn Chapel (1301 Park St., Bloomington). The concert is free and open to the public.
The program will include Chorale Prelude: Nun Bitten Wir by Dieterich Buxtehude, Alman by Alfonso Ferrabosco the Younger, Lasciatemi Morire! by Claudio Monteverdi, Concerto for Two Violins in A minor, RV 522 by Antonio Vivaldi and French Suite in G Major, BWV 814 and Prelude from Suite No. 3 in C Major, BWV 1009 by Johann Sebastian Bach.
The event will also feature period improvisation on The Galloping Nag by John Playford and a selection of Renaissance and Baroque dances.
