BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University Civic Orchestra will present its Halloween Pops Concert on Friday, Oct. 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (600 N. East St., Bloomington).
Tickets are available through the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts box office. General admission is $10. Tickets for senior citizens and IWU alumni are $5. University (college students not attending IWU) and high school student tickets are $2 with a valid school ID. Tickets for IWU students, as well as eighth grade students, and under are free.
The concert will feature the Illinois Wesleyan University Cohesion Dance Company, the Illinois Wesleyan University Juggling Club, and the Director of Opera Theater at IWU Robert Mangialardi, will be the master of ceremonies.
Steven Eggleston, professor of music and chair of the Woodwinds, Brass and Percussion Department, will be the music director and conductor for the night’s event.
The evening’s music performances will include: “Storm” from Symphony No. 6 by Ludwig Van Beethoven, “Harry Potter” by John Williams, “Thriller” composed by Rod Temperton, “Sabre Dance” by Aram Khachaturian and Symphony No. 94 by Franz Joseph Haydn.
