School of Music to Present Junior Recitals

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan School of Music will present Junior Recitals by Cassandra Coglianese and Meagan Melloy on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. in the Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 N. Park St., Bloomington). The performance is free and open to the public.

Coglianese, a voice major from North Riverside, Ill., will perform From Twelve Poems of Emily Dickinson by Aaron Copland and Gretchen am Spinnrade by Franz Schubert. Melloy, a voice major from Leawood, Kan., will perform Vieille Chanson by Georges Bizet and Widmung from Myrten, Op. 25 by Robert Schumann. The two will join together to present Si mes vers avaient des ailes by Rynaldo Hahn, Chanson d’amour by Gabriel Faure, Bist du bei mir by J.S. Bach, Vergebliches Standchen by Johannes Brahms, and Verborgenheit by Hugo Wolf. Maxie Scifres will accompany the performers on piano.
