School of Music to Present Junior Recital

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will present a Junior Recital by Melissa Adamson and Michelle Stanbary on March 6 at 3 p.m. in the Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 N. Park St., Bloomington). The concert is free and open to the public.

Adamson, a soprano singer from La Grange, Ill., will perform Le Violette by Alessandro Scarlatti, La speranza al cor mi dice by Isabella Colbran, and Das Veilchen and Sehnsucht by Fanny Hensel Mendelssohn. Stanbary, a flute player from Hoffman Estates, Ill., will perform Sonate pour Flute et Piano by Francis Poulenc. Adamson and Stanbary will perform Une Flute Invisible by Camille Saint-Saens together. Adjunct faculty members Carol Churukian and Marcia Hishman will accompany the two on piano for their performances.
