Illinois Wesleyan Student Awarded IES Abroad Scholarship

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University junior Kylie Peters was awarded one of 74 merit-based scholarships to study abroad from The Institute for the International Education of Students (IES) Abroad. Peters, an English-writing major from Arlington Heights, Ill., is spending her spring semester in Tokyo, Japan.

IES Abroad offers 100 programs in 32 international locations for over 5,500 United States students each year. It awarded more than $2.3 million in scholarships for the 2010-2011 academic year. One hundred and five thousand dollars worth of these scholarships were awarded based on merit.
