Illinois Wesleyan Announces Faculty Tenure, Advancement

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University Board of Trustees has awarded tenure to two faculty, and promotions in rank to six.

Receiving tenure are Leah Nillas of Educational Studies and Elisabeta Pana of Business Administration.  

Tenure

Nillas earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics education from Roosevelt College Foundation Center for Teacher Education in the Philippines; a master's degree in mathematics education from the University of the Philippines; and a doctorate in mathematics education from Illinois State University. She joined the faculty of Illinois Wesleyan in 2004.

Pana received a bachelor's degree from Polytechnic University of Bucharest; and a doctorate from the University of New Orleans. She joined the faculty of Illinois Wesleyan in 2004.

Advancing to professor

Advancing in rank from associate professor to professor are R. Kent Cook of the School of Music; Carren Moham of the School of Music; and Hans-Jörg Tiede of Computer Science.

Advancing to associate professor

Advancing in rank from assistant professor to associate professor are Nillas, Pana and Susan Swanlund of the School of Nursing.
