BLOOMINGTON, Ill.—The Illinois Wesleyan University International Society Student Organization (I-Society) is sponsoring the annual I-Carnival International Talent Show: Big Music Around the World on Sunday, March 27. The program, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Hansen Student Center (300 Beecher St., Bloomington).
As part of the event and in association with the organization’s charitable work, the program will feature “Art from the Heart.” During the evening, senior art major Katya Kobrina will start a painting that will be raffled off at $1.00 per ticket. A winner will be drawn as Kobrina completes the painting at the end of the performances. Raffle proceeds will benefit The American Red Cross Japan Fund.
Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance on Friday, March 25 at the International Office during regular office hours (8 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.). Also, anyone who would like to make a donation to the Japan Fund may bring their contribution to the International Office on or before Wednesday, March 30 at 4:00 p.m.
I-Society is a student organization that promotes cultural awareness on the Illinois Wesleyan campus, brings together students of various ethnicities and encourages IWU students to study abroad.
