Christmas Choral Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – On Sunday, Dec. 4, the Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will present its annual Christmas Choral Concert. The performance will begin at 3 p.m. in Holy Trinity Church (704 N. Main St., Bloomington).

General admission is $10, $5 for senior citizens and Illinois Wesleyan alumni and $2 for high school and college students. Admission is free for students eighth grade and under. Tickets will be available at the main office of the IWU School of Music in Presser Hall (1210 N. Park St.) and at the door on the day of the concert.

The program will feature the Illinois Wesleyan University Collegiate Choir, conducted by Professor of Music J. Scott Ferguson; the University Choir, led by Assistant Professor of Music Brian T. Russell and guest choir, the Mahomet-Seymour High School Madrigals, directed by Leslie Manfredo.

The program will include compositions by Schütz, Philips, Parsons, Mendelssohn, Howells, Christiansen, Powell, Swider, Young, Dash, Boyd, Willan, Whitacre, Scott and others.
