BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University’s Merwin and Wakeley Galleries will host the 24th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition from Tuesday, Feb. 8 to Friday, Feb. 25. This display of IWU student artwork will begin with an opening reception on Feb. 8 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the galleries, with an awards ceremony at 4:30 p.m.
This exhibition will represent all areas of the studio art program, including painting, drawing, printmaking, graphic design, photography, ceramics, sculpture and glass.
The galleries are located in the Joyce Eichhorn Ames School of Art Building (6 Ames Plaza West, Bloomington). Regular hours are Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Exhibitions at the Merwin and Wakeley Galleries typically feature contemporary artworks in a variety of media. Other student exhibitions include the B.F.A. Candidate Exhibition and B.A. Degree Exhibition.
