University and Collegiate Choirs to Hold Spring Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University Choir and Collegiate Choir will
present a Spring Choral Concert on Sunday, April 18 at 3 p.m. at the Second Presbytarian
Church (313 N. East St., Bloomington).
The event is free and open to the public.
Conducted by Director of Choral Actvities J. Scott Ferguson and Instructor of Music
Brian T. Russell, the choirs will perform: Os Justi by Anton Bruckner (sung in Latin); Song for Athene by John Travener; Do I Not Love Thee Lord? arranged by Lewis Whikehart; Dominus Vobiscum by Sydney Guillaume (sung in Haitian Creole); Animal Crackers, Volume 1 by Eric Whitacre; Die Nachtigall, Op. 59, No. 4 by Felix Mendelssohn (sung in German); Lerchengesang, Op. 48, No. 4 by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (sung in German); Der Falke, Op. 93a, No. 5 by Johannes Brahms (sung in German); The Silver Swan by Orlando Gibbons; Contrapunto Bestiale alla Mente by Adriano Banchieri (sung in “macaronic Italian”) and Who’s Afraid of the Big, Bad Wolf? arranged by Norman Luboff.
