BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan Saxophone Quartet will present a concert on Sunday, April 18 at 5 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place in Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 Park St., Bloomington).
The quartet will play under the direction of adjunct faculty member Keith M. Zimmerman, who will join the group as a soprano saxophonist. Student members include sophomore Bradley Campbell on tenor saxophone, sophomore Jeffrey Kutschke on alto saxophone and first-year student Kyle Lewis on baritone saxophone.
The program will feature Quartet for Saxophones by Edvard Moritz, Premier Quatuor, Op. 53 (1857) by Jean-Baptiste Singelee, Quatour pour saxophones by Alfred Desenclos, Suite, Op. 11 by Lawson Lunde and Scott Joplin's Maple Leaf Rag (1899), arranged by Michael Nascimben.
