School of Music Presents Fall Choral Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will present
their annual Fall Choral Concert Sunday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. at Second Presbyterian
Church (313 N. East St., Bloomington).
The concert is free and open to the public and will feature Illinois Wesleyan’s
Collegiate Choir, conducted by Professor of Music J. Scott Ferguson, and the University
Choir, conducted by Brian T. Russell, instructor of music.
The University Choir will begin the concert by performing: Di ist der Tag, TVWV 7:10, Selig sind Toten, TVWV 8:13, Der Gott unsers Herrn Jesu Christi, TVWV 8:4, Es segne uns Gott, TVWV 8:8 and Gott der Hoffnung erflle euch, TVWV 1:634, all composed by G. P. Telemann. Susan Klotzbach, University organist,
will accompany the group.
The program will conclude with the Collegiate Choir singing: Ascendit Deus by Peter Philips, Petite Nymfe foltre by Franois Regnard, Schaffe in mir, Gott, ein rein Herz, Op. 29, No. 2 by Johannes Brahms, Libera me by Lajos Bardos, Alleluia by Randall Thompson, The Stolen Child by Eric Whitacre and Ride on, King Jesus by Edward Boatner.
