BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – On Friday, Jan. 22, Illinois Wesleyan University will host singer-songwriter Justin Caldwell. The show will take place in the Hansen Student Center (300 E. Beecher St., Bloomington) at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
What some have described as a cross between Jamie Cullum and Sting, Caldwell’s music is said to connect with listeners who are tired of hearing the same manufactured pop tunes on the radio. He has performed in over 30 countries and has toured 50 colleges, as well as numerous venues and festivals across the nation. Most recently, Caldwell’s original music has been featured in national ad campaigns for Nike Visa, Honda, Tylenol, in the primetime network pilot Dear God, It’s Me Traci and the Australian film Out of Space. The performance is sponsored by the Illinois Wesleyan Office of Student Activities. For additional information, call the office at (309) 556-3850 or visit www.iwu.edu/activities.
