School of Art to Present 23rd Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – On Tuesday, Feb. 8, Illinois Wesleyan University’s School of Art
will host the 23rd Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition. The exhibit will run until
Tuesday, March 23.
A reception will be will be held in the Merwin and Wakeley Galleries of the Ames
School of Art (6 Ames Plaza West, Bloomington) on Tuesday, Feb. 9 from 4 p.m. to 6
All events are free and open to the public.
The exhibit will feature the work of Illinois Wesleyan art students, both majors
and minors alike. Various mediums of art will be represented, including: painting,
drawing, printmaking, graphic design, photography, ceramics, sculpture and glass.
The Hansen Center Purchase Award, the May Alumni Award, the National Hall Residence
Honorary Purchase Award, the President’s Award and the Director’s Award will be presented
to students on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 4:30 p.m. in the galleries.
Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m., Tuesday evenings
from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
