Merwin & Wakeley Galleries to Exhibit Senior Artwork

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Joyce Eichhorn Ames School of Art will host the annual B.A./B.F.A.
Senior Art Exhibitions from April 6 to April 20 in the Merwin and Wakeley Galleries
(6 Ames Plaza, Bloomington).
The show will exhibit selected pieces from graduating art majors and minors produced
during their senior year. It will include work from a variety of media including:
painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, graphic design, ceramics, sculpture and
glass. The eight students participating in the exhibition are: Katie Bergethon, Emily
Cellini, Laura Czys, Katelynn Dewitt, Alexandra Ferguson, Emily Giacomino, Emily Haager
and Benn Marion.
An opening reception will be held in the galleries on Saturday, April 10 from 1-3
p.m. The awards ceremony portion of the program will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed
at 2:30 p.m. with a brief presentation by the graduating seniors as part of the University-wide
John Wesley Powell Student Research Conference.
Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m., with additional
Tuesday hours from 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
