BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University alumna Beth Keller Scheirer was recently named Advisor of the Year 2010 by National Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE). The 2000 graduate is also on The Board of Directors.
SAVE, founded in 1989, is a student-run organization that promotes nonviolence within schools and communities. All students, elementary through college age, can join the organization which offers a variety of activities including conflict management, community volunteer work, non-violence pledge drives and fundraisers.
In addition to her SAVE duties, Scheirer works as a graduation coach at Emsley Armfield Laney High School in Wilmington, N.C.
