BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University School of Theatre Arts will present Caryl Churchill’s play Top Girls Tuesday, March 10 through Thursday, March 12 at 8 p.m. in the E. Melba Johnson Kirkpatrick Laboratory Theatre (304 E. Graham St., Bloomington).

Tickets for Top Girls will be available beginning Thursday, March 5 at the McPherson Theatre Box Office. General admission is $3 with a discount for seniors. Student tickets cost $1 with a valid student ID.

Top Girls revolves around the examination of gender roles and whether success is achieved through business or personal pursuits. The main character Marlene, a driven businesswoman employed at Top Girls employment agency, has chosen to focus solely on her career at the expense of her personal and social life. Marlene and her female co-workers represent the historical struggle to succeed in the perceived male realm of business regardless of the sacrifices.
