18th Annual Minority Academic Achievement Recognition Ceremony

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University will host the 18th annual Minority Academic Achievement Recognition Ceremony on Monday, June 29 in the Shirk Athletic Center, (302 E. Emerson St., Bloomington).  Registration and a reception will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.  A ceremony with the distribution of awards will follow from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The event is by invitation only.

Guest speakers for the event will be William A. Bennett, senior pastor, City of Refuge Church of God, Bloomington and Shri Chandak with SEWA International.  Approximately 1,000 students from local schools, grades 5 through 12, are eligible for recognition.  The event is sponsored in part by Neighbor-to-Neighbor Educational Activity Club, State Farm Insurance and Illinois Wesleyan University.
