Campus Service Organizations to Host IWU Idol

December 1, 2009

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University chapters of Alpha Phi Omega (APO) and Colleges Against Cancer have joined together to host the first ever IWU Idol. The event will take place on Friday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Hansen Student Center (300 Beecher St., Bloomington).

IWU Idol is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. In addition, audience members can purchase up to ten tickets for fifty cents each. The audience then uses their tickets to vote for their favorite contestant. Three performers will move on to the second round from this vote, and the judges will select one “wild card” contestant to move on.

Judges for the event are Assistant Dean of Students Kevin Clark, Acting Director of Multicultural Affairs Roshaunda Ross and Dean of Students Darcy Greder.
