Evelyn Chapel Presents: Hanukkah Celebration

Nov. 18, 2009

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The slight chill in the air and the frozen, crunchy ground signals the onset of winter, and with it the beginning of Hanukkah, the Jewish holiday celebrated on eight successive days in December.

This holiday is also called the Festival of Lights, the Feast of Dedication and the Feast of the Maccabees and will be celebrated on the Illinois Wesleyan University campus Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. in the Main Lounge of Memorial Center (104 E. University St., Bloomington).  The event is open to the public.
