Merwin & Wakeley Galleries to Showcase Senior Artwork

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Joyce Eichhorn Ames School of Art will host the annual B.A./B.F.A.
Senior Art Exhibitions from Tuesday, April 7 to Tuesday, April 21 in the Merwin and
Wakeley Galleries (6 Ames Plaza, Bloomington).
The show, which exhibits selected pieces graduating art majors and minors produced
during their senior year, will feature work from a variety of media, including painting,
drawing, printmaking, photography, graphic design, ceramics, sculpture and glass.
Participating student artists are: Katie Allen, Helen Conklin, Emily Dieling, Marli
Jones, Rachel Low, Laura Murray, Christina Nealis, John Nelson, Nicole Pizzini, Alisha
Rogers, Andrea Winsor and Matt Young.
An opening reception will be held at the galleries on Saturday, April 18 from 1
to 3 p.m. The awards ceremony portion of the program will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed
at 2:30 p.m. by a brief presentation by the graduating seniors as part of the University-wide
John Wesley Powell Student Research Conference.
Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m., with additional
Tuesday hours from 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. The galleries
will be closed on Sunday, April 12.
