Leonce and Lena was written by Georg Bchner in the summer of 1836 when he was living in Strasborg,
France, while in German exile. This satirical play tells the story of a young prince
and a beautiful princess who are trying to reach their happy ending. Wozyzeck, also written by Georg Bchner, was left fragmented and unfinished when the playwright
unexpectedly died at age 24. This play is a tragic story about a man who earns money
by acting as a regimental servant to his captain and by participating as a subject
for a doctor’s many experiments.
