Religion Colloquium Features Guest Speaker

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University religion department will present
a colloquium on Friday, April 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Davidson Room located in
the Memorial Center (104 University St., Bloomington).
The event is free and open to the public.
Deirdre Dempsey, assistant chairperson of the Department of Theology at Marquette
University, will present a program titled “A Tale of Two Tells: The Intersection of
Biblical Studies and Archaeology.”
Dempsey completed her Ph.D. at the Catholic University of America, studying Semitic
languages with a focus in Biblical Hebrew.
The colloquium will also feature senior student research presentations.
