BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will host a Tuba Euphonium Ensemble concert at 5 p.m. on Feb. 24 in the Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 North Park St., Bloomington).
Four groups will perform during the concert including two tuba euphonium quartets, one tuba quartet, and the full tuba euphonium ensemble. The concert will premiere “Short Subject” by Professor of Music David Vayo. This piece, completed in 2004, has never been performed for the public.
On tuba will be Chris Brackett, a first-year chemistry major; Cindy Pistone, a first-year music education major; Meg Nally, a first-year elementary education major; Autumn Winsor, a sophomore music education major; Nathaniel Straus, a sophomore English major; Eric Wetter, a sophomore composition major; James McCauley, a junior music education major; Don Killinger, a junior music major; David Longowa, a junior music and biology major; and Chris Burritcher, a senior political science major.
