BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University Office of Student Activities will present The 11th Hour as part of it’s Titan Indie Film Series on Friday, Feb. 1. The film will be shown at 8 p.m and 11 p.m. in the Hansen Student Center (300 E. Beecher, Bloomington).
The event is free and open to the public.
The 11th Hour is the latest effort of Leonardo DiCaprio, Leila Conners, and Nadia Conners to bring environmental awareness to the public through film. The trio, who previously collaborated on two shorter films, consulted over 70 experts, netting over 150 hours of interviews with former Soviet Prime Minister Mikhail Gorbachev and scientist Steven Hawking, among others.
"We reached out to independent experts on the front lines of what could be the greatest challenge of our time: the collapse of our planet's ecosystems and our search for solutions to create a sustainable future," said DiCaprio.
The 11th Hour is rated PG. For more information about the film, visit the Office of Student Activities Web site at http://www.iwu.edu/activities or call (309) 556-3850.
