IWU to Hold Annual Lunar New Year’s Celebration

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— Illinois Wesleyan will hold its annual Lunar New Year’s Celebration on Feb. 10, at 5 p.m. at the Hansen Student Center (300 E. Beecher St., Bloomington).

This event is free and open to the public.

Dinner will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a routine by a Chinese children’s dance troupe at 6 p.m. Immediately afterwards The Indonesian gamelan ensemble will perform a concert.

The celebration is sponsored by the Asian Studies Student Programming Committee, as well as the Asian Studies team of the International Studies Program. As a student senate funded organization, the ASSPC allows students to host events such as field trips, films, events, speakers, and the New Year’s Celebration.
