BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Singer-songwriter Patty Larkin, the next performer in the Blue Moon Coffeehouse series, will give a concert at Illinois Wesleyan University on Friday, March 28 at 8 p.m. in the Memorial Center Main Lounge (104 E. University St., Bloomington).
Born into a family with strong musical traditions, Larkin’s fascination with music began at an early age. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston and with ten albums to her name, Larkin has been called a meticulous musician whose never ceases to reveal new dimensions in her work. Larkin’s latest release, Red=Luck, with its distinct Middle Eastern influences, has been called “texturally rich” by the Boston Globe.
The concert is free for IWU students, faculty, and staff with a valid ID. Tickets for the public are $10 each and are available at The Garlic Press (108 W. North St., Normal), and at the venue, beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets can also be reserved or purchased Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. by calling the Blue Moon Hotline at (309) 556-3815.
