Madrigal Dinner to be Held at IWU

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University’s Madrigal Dinner, “Pastime With
Good Company,” will be held on Friday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in the newly renovated Main
Lounge of Memorial Center (104 University St., Bloomington). The Madrigal Dinner is
a Renaissance dinner show hosted by members of the IWU Madrigal Group. The group became
a student organization in the spring of 2006, and this will be their second Madrigal
Written and organized by senior music major Caitlin Ludwig, the goal of the event
is to bring Renaissance culture to life through music, dance, drama, and cuisine.
The show, featuring 16 singers and 10 actors, runs for two hours and will include
Renaissance songs, a brass quintet, and a skit.
Dinner options include filet mignon, crab-stuffed chicken, or a wild mushroom vegetarian
option. Tickets are $6 for students on a meal plan, $10 for students without a meal
plan, and $37 for the general public. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the
door with either cash or check.
