Main Street Redevelopment Consultant to Present Findings
Sept. 21, 2007
Illinois Wesleyan University, BroMenn Healthcare, the Town of Normal, the City of
Bloomington, and Illinois State University have been exploring ways to redevelop and
improve the Main Street (Business 51) corridor. “Brainstorming” meetings were held
last January, with one at the Hansen Student Center focusing on the portion of Main
Street adjacent to the IWU campus.
The consultant, Farr and Associates, has compiled a draft plan that will be shared
with the community on Wednesday, Sept.26, at 7 p.m. at the Hansen Student Center.
The consultant on the project, Doug Farr, will summarize the findings of the report
and its recommendations.
All interested student, faculty or staff are encouraged to attend the meeting. If
you have any questions, contact Carl Teichman, Director of Government and Community
Relations at 556-3429 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
