Symphonic Winds to Perform Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The IWU Symphonic Winds, conducted by Assistant Professor of Clarinet and Music Education Roger Garrett, will present a spring concert on Thursday, April 12 at 8 p.m. in the Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 N. Park St., Bloomington).

The event is free and open to the public.

The program will include Italian in Algiers Overture by Rossini, Le Carnaval de Venise by Arban with junior Katherine Carl as the euphonium soloist, Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by J.S. Bach, Symphony No. 6 for Band by Vincent Persichetti, American Symphonette No. 2,  Mvt. 1 by Morton Gould,  Norwegian March “Valdres” by Johannes Hanssen and Wedding Dance from Symphonic Suite “Hassench” by Jacques Press.
