Jazz Combo Night at IWU

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.—  Illinois Wesleyan will host a Jazz Combo Night on Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 N. Park St., Bloomington).

The event is free and open to the public.

Professor Tom Streeter will conduct, with senior business administration major Ted Nichols on trumpet, senior political science major Brent Bogen on alto/soprano saxophone, and senior political science major Kyle Charles on tenor saxophone. Senior music major Joshua Ziemann will perform drums, with senior music major Stuart Seale on piano, and first-year education major Sara Ghadiri will perform on bass.

Featured musical selections will include Seven Steps to Heaven by Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie’s A Night in Tunisia, Ceora by Lee Morgan, Witch Hunt by Wayne Shorter, Duke Jordan’s Jordu, John Coltrane’s Christmas Surprise and Blue Train, and You Don’t Know What Love Is by Raye and Depaul.
