IWU School of Music to Perform Elijah

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will present Elijah, composed by Felix Mendelssohn at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 22 at Second Presbyterian Church (313 N. East St., Bloomington). 

The cost is $10 for general admission, $5 for senior citizens and Illinois Wesleyan alumni and $1 for high school and college students with an ID.  Admission is free for students in eighth grade and under.

The performance, conducted by Illinois Wesleyan University Director of Choral Activities J. Scott Ferguson, will include ensembles from the Illinois Wesleyan Civic Orchestra, directed by Steven Eggleston, music director and conductor; the Illinois Wesleyan Collegiate Choir; the University Choir and members of the Second Presbyterian Church Chapel Choir. 

Soloists will be soprano Elizabeth Ducey-Moss, mezzo soprano Kate Tombaugh, tenor Christopher Hollingsworth and baritone Kent Taulbee.
