IWU Civic Orchestra to Perform Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University Civic Orchestra will have a concert on Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m., at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (110 E. Mulberry St., Bloomington). General admission is $10.50, with a $5.50 discount for senior citizens and IWU alumni, and $1.50 for high school and University students with a valid ID.

The Orchestra will perform Overture to Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Serenade No. 2 in A Major by Johannes Brahms, and Feste Romance by Ottorino Respighi.

The Illinois Wesleyan Civic Orchestra is comprised of students from several fields, with Professor Steve Eggleston as director and conductor.  Eggleston is the founder of the IWU Civic Orchestra, as well as the University’s Wind Ensemble. This is the orchestra’s 23rd season, since its creation in 1984.
