Chamber Music Festival Summer Concert Series

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The opening concert of Illinois Wesleyan University’s Chamber Music Festival, featuring the works of Brahms, Krughardt, and Schumann performed by faculty members, will be held Sunday, June 17 at 3 p.m. in the Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 N. Park St., Bloomington).

The event is free and open to the public.

Additional faculty performances will be held on Friday, June 22 at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, June 24 at 3 p.m.; and Friday, June 29 at 7:30 p.m.  These performances are a part of the Summer Series of eight faculty and student concerts held through Saturday, June 30 during the IWU Chamber Music Festival.

Performers will include violinists Julieta Mihai and Micahel Barta; violists Lisa Nelson and Michael Strauss; cellist Nina Gordon; oboist Roger Roe; and pianists Mark Clinton, R. Kent Cook, and Maria Staeblein.
