IWU Chamber Music Festival to Present Spring Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University’s Chamber Music Festival will present a spring concert on Sunday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 Park St., Bloomington).  The concert is free and open to the public.

The program will include Mozart’s Sonata for Violin and Piano in E minor, Sarasate’s Caprice Basque for Violin and Piano and Brahms’ Piano Quintet in F minor. 

Performers include Julieta Mihai, concertmaster of the Illinois Symphony, on violin; Michael Barta, professor of music from Southern Illinois University, on violin; Lisa Nelson, instructor of violin and viola from Illinois Wesleyan University, on viola; Nina Gordon, associate professor of cello and chamber music from Illinois Wesleyan University, on cello and Mark Clinton, associate professor of piano from the University of Nebraska, on piano.
