School of Music to Present 60 Pieces by 60 Composers

April 2, 2007

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University’s School of Music will present a concert, 60x60, on Thursday, April 5 at 8 p.m. as part of its New Music Series.  The performance will take place in Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 Park St., Bloomington) and is free and open to the public.

The title 60x60 refers to the concert’s program, which will feature 60 prerecorded pieces of music, each up to one minute long, by 60 different composers.  Brad Decker, adjunct professor of composition at IWU, will be one of the featured composers.  Video information will supplement the music so that audience members will be able to identify the composer of each piece.
