Spider Man 3

Titan Film Series Presents Spider-Man 3

August 27, 2007

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan Office of Student Activities will present the movie Spider-Man 3 on Saturday, Sept. 1. The film will be shown at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. in the Hansen Student Center (300 Beecher St., Bloomington).

This event is free and open to the public.

Sam Raimi returns to direct this third installment of the Spider-Man series, based on the Marvel comic by Stan Lee. Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, and James Franco reprise their roles from the first two films as Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson, and Harry Osborn respectively.

In this film, the pieces seem to be falling into place for hero Peter Parker (Maguire) as he finally comes to terms with his role as Spider-Man and his true feelings for Mary Jane (Dunst). Parker’s peaceful life does not last long, however, when an alien substance affects his suit, transforming both him and his powers into a much darker version of Spider-Man. Not only does Parker have to face his inner demons, but also two new villains, the Sandman and Venom, played by Thomas Haden Church and Topher Grace.

Spider-Man 3 is rated PG-13. For additional information, please contact the Office of Student Activities at (309) 556-3850.
