Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Teach-In: Affordable Housing
Sponsored by Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society. 2 -4 p.m. at the Hansen Student Center
Keynote speaker will be Doris Latorre, National Director of Quality Assurance at ACORN Housing. ACORN is the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. Doris will speak about her recent tour of New Orleans and its housing crisis. Alex Cardona of State Farm Bank will speak about the bank's efforts to assist Hispanics, and other minority group members, in obtaining home mortgages.
