Comedian to Perform at Hansen Student Center

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Office of Student Activities presents comedian Jen Kober who will perform on Friday, September 14 at 8 p.m. in the Hansen Student Center (300 Beecher St., Bloomington). 

This event is free and open to the public.

Winner of the Stand-up Comedy and Sketch Comedy categories in the 2003 Houston Comedy Games, Kober has developed a routine that combines stand-up, story-telling, and spontaneous singing. 

Called “our 21st century Lucille Ball” by Leslie Berman of the SWLA Times, Kober has shared the stage with Damon Wayans, Dane Cook, Wayne Brady, and Carlos Mencia, among others.

Kober has appeared on Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen, Comic Relief 2006, and The Comedy Festival, delivering shows “full of home spun southern-style storytelling and creative culinary concoctions that will leave your mouth watering and your jaw aching from laughter.”  She also has roles in the films Freshman Orientation and Heckler.
