the doors will open at 7:30 p.m.

Girlyman members Ty Greenstein, Doris Muramatsu, and Nate Borofsky united six years
ago, after pursuing separate musical ventures, and have since released three albums,
toured with the Indigo Girls and Dar Williams, and performed at the Philadelphia and
Boston Folk Festivals.
Describing their eclectic style, Girlyman says, “there’s straight-up pop, a slow country
dance, a variation on bluegrass that we call ‘girlygrass,’ something vaguely jazzy,
and a couple of rockers.”
The classically trained performers play various instruments including acoustic and
baritone guitars, djembe, and mandolin. The trio shares song-writing and lead vocal
duties and their style not only expresses their love for various musical genres, but
also reflects that they are “big harmony geeks,” said Greenstein.
