Students to Present Multifaith Chapel Hour

February 22, 2007

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Sponsored by Illinois Wesleyan's University Chapel Hour and Special Events and Services, a student-led chapel hour entitled "The People Gather Together: a Multifaith Look at Humanity and Religion" will take place on Wednesday, February 28 at 11 a.m. in the Main Lounge of the Memorial Center (104 University St., Bloomington).

The event is free and open to the public.

Abigail Mohaupt, a class of '08 religious studies major and sociology minor, coordinated the chapel hour in the interest of creating a forum for people of varying backgrounds to engage in multifaith dialogue.  Along with Mohaupt, other participants will be Mary Miller and Drew Snodgrass, class of '07, Rachel Halfpap, Nurman Noor, and Alissa Sherman, class of '08, and Kindred Cook, class of '09, and Maria Roth, class of '10.  Each student will speak about the roles and responsibilities humanity serves in his or her faith tradition.
