Chapel Hour to Address the Importance of Community

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University will hold its next Chapel Hour on
Wednesday Oct. 17 at 11:00 a.m. in the Evelyn Chapel (1301 N. Park St., Bloomington).
This service is free and open to the public.
University Chaplain Hope Luckie will speak about the blessings of community in her
sermon, titled “Too Close for Comfort.” Marking the halfway point of the semester,
Luckie will focus on the importance of community involvement. She will also incorporate
the Beatitudes from the Gospel of Luke.
The Beatitudes are a set of qualities and their accompanying blessings described in
the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.
