Blue Moon Coffeehouse to host Singer-Songwriter Mulvey
October 15, 2007
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Peter Mulvey will give a concert at the Blue Moon Coffeehouse
on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. in the Memorial Center Main Lounge (104 E. University
St., Bloomington). Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
A veteran Blue Moon performer, Mulvey played in bands throughout his college years
at Marquette University in Milwaukee and spent six months after college living in
Ireland, playing guitar for money on the streets of Dublin. He eventually won the
Boston Acoustic Underground Competition after playing for commuters in the Boston
subways. Mulvey has since recorded four critically acclaimed albums and toured extensively
in the U.S. and the U.K. He is currently touring in support of his 2006 album and
ninth solo release, The Knuckleball Suite, and recently completed a 300-mile portion
of the tour by bicycle.
Mulvey, who hopes to inspire others to ride their bicycles or use other environmentally
friendly transportation methods more often, will donate $1 to the Urban Ecology Center
in Milwaukee for every ticket sold during his entire tour.
Tickets for the public are $10 each and are available at The Garlic Press (108 W.
North St., Normal) and at the venue, beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets can also be reserved
or purchased Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. by calling the
Blue Moon Hotline at (309) 556-3815. Ticket requests may also be e-mailed to email@example.com.
